Tynamo™ Server

The Tynamo™ server is a fast, conditionally compliant HTTP/1.1 server and Servlet 2.2 container for embedded Java platforms. Supporting such advanced features as digest authentication, persistent connections, servlet reloading, and templates, it is an excellent tool for accessing and controlling your hardware via the Internet.

Tynamo on the EJC

Originally written for a subset of JDK 1.1.8, Tynamo was easily ported to the EJC, and runs very well on this platform.

"Developing and testing the CDC version of the server on the EJC was a breeze. There was a feeling of instant familiarity the first time a Telnet session was initiated with an EJC board. Deploying the server consisted of simply invoking the appropriate 'java' command with the correct classpath. As well, due to the shell support of scripts, a script was created to configure and execute the server, and testing became even easier.

Due to the EJC's excellent Java compliance, the server, which was known to work on a PC, worked flawlessly the first time it was executed on the EJC. Once the application's classes were loaded, the server became very fast and responsive. The EJC easily and quickly handled any request the web browser could throw at it.

The icing on the cake was that the entire development and testing process was performed remotely on the development board from the other side of the Atlantic. Seamlessly.

In short, using the Tynamo server on the very capable EJC platform enables you to interface your hardware to the Internet via proven and reliable standards."
